A interdisciplinary team from NUS/NUH/Temasek Polytechnic have developed a technology platform to fabricate scaffolds specifically designed for hard tissue engineering applications. Its engineering approach emphasizes the importance of the structural design of the biomaterial, the scaffolding architecture and the structural and nutritional conditions. The design and material concepts for the tissue engineering of skeletal tissues allowed the interdisciplinary research group to file a patent application. See website for details:
